Torque Algorithms: The Permanent Multipole and Induced
Dipole Vector Contributions in a Set of Charge Distributions
Abstract:
Two algorithms for the permanent multipole contribution to the
mutual torques in a set of charge distribution are presented.
The first is the conventional Newtonian formulation;
the second is in terms of generalized forces. Both cooperative
and non-cooperative algorithms for the induced dipole vector
contribution are given. The algorithms are based on earlier
algorithms for the permanent multipole and induced dipole vector
contribution to the energy in the Maxwell Invariant form.
