Discriminatory Power of Stoichiometry-Driven Protein Folding?
Abstract: A. Mittal, B. Jayaram, S. Shenoy and T. S. Bawa (J Biomol Struct Dyn 28, 133-142 (2010)) suggested that amino-acid propensity of proteins is an intrinsic property of foldable proteins. This comment discusses the three types of data the paper cites in support of their proposition and points out the strengths and weaknesses of the different types of data.
